One great perk of working at Teen Vogue is that we get celeb scoop straight from the source! Here, Jo Baker shares her tips on how she gave Kristinia her look for her latest video.
"For Kristinia's video, there were two very different looks, Good Girl and Bad Girl. Her good girl look was effortlessly pretty, youthful, and feminine. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation was lightly applied, so it still showcased her pretty freckles. That was topped by Murad Firming Bronzer Spf 15, which added a sun-kissed look while protecting Kristinia's skin from the sun. On her cheeks, we used the award-winning cheek stain by Tarte in Green Siren. It's the perfect amount of peachy apricot! Her eyes were kept simple... I mixed Hydro Powder Eye Shadow by Shiseido in Goldlights and Whitelights. This product glides on creamy and lasts for hours. I enhanced her natural lip color and texture with Pomegranate Crush Lip & Cheek Stain by Stila; it's easy to blend and you can build the color depth... and it smells yummy too! Finally, I finished off her good girl look with curled lashes and heaps of DiorShow in Chestnut."
"For Kristinia's bad girl look, we wanted to emphasize her tough, sexier side. I applied a second coat of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. That product is fantastic for building coverage, layer by layer, while remaining silky and lightweight. Then, I used Dior's new fall palette in Jazz Club, which was perfect for creating a smoky look. The color range allowed us to define her eyes dramatically in one scene and lighten it up in the next. Finally, I chose to use the iridescent and glossy Lip Shimmer in Golden Champagne by Giorgio Armani. Smokey eyes and a neutral glossy lips...it's a look which transcends all seasons!!"

When pop music starlet Kristinia DeBarge heads out on tour this week to open for Britney Spears, she’ll be toting her stuff (a lot of stuff) in a new off-brand, five-piece set of luggage she bought Friday at Macy’s Mall of America. She spent three hours at the mall (and still didn’t have time to ride the roller coaster) before performing her current hit “Goodbye” at Glamorama. Following the show, the 19-year-old daughter of ’80s singer James DeBarge, celebrated with fellow Glamorama performer Ne-Yo in the VIP lounge at the after party and chatted with us.
Q You were on Twitter five minutes before your Glamorama performance.
A I know, I’ve become addicted. It’s a great way to stay connected with fans. I called five of them last night!
Q How long did it take you to get into those skintight leather pants you wore on stage?
A Like two seconds.
Q Good to be young. So who put together what you’re wearing now?
A I did. It’s a Bebe dress and jacket and Steve Madden shoes that I bought today at the Mall of America.
Q Adorable. But so … common. I’d have thought you’d be wearing Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin now that you have a song on the radio.
A I have a passion for clothes girls my age can wear. I want to be relatable. Actually, I really want to be Steve Madden’s girl (in ads). My management is trying to work that out.
Q So what is it like to hang out with Britney Spears?
A I haven’t actually met heryet! But I’m so excited. I think I’ll ask her, like, when times are tough … what do you do? Q You’ll probably meet K-Fed too.
A Who?
Q Kevin Federline, Britney’s ex.
A Are they back together?
Q No, no — but according to UsWeekly, he travels with her on tour to help with the boys.
A That is so great that she has her kids nearby.
Q You must get this all the time, but I have to ask: What’s your favorite DeBarge song?
A “Who’s Holding Donna Now?” But it changes every day.
Q So it’s probably pretty cliché to say mine is “Rhythm of the Night?”
